Marple (u14) - 47 - 5 - Sheffield (u14)

Marple welcomed Sheffield who kindly travelled across the Peak District in a return of last season's hotly contested draw.

On a hot September afternoon, Marple were disciplined and clinical throughout, with excellent structured play from a strong scrum and line-out allowing some good decision making; running and retaining well and kicking tactically when needed.
Sheffield were no pushovers though, and unlucky not to score more points with a couple of knock-ons and holding-on penalties thwarting their attacks, but they certainly contributed to an entertaining game of rugby with both sides probing for openings for much of the game.

From their composed platform Marple were clinical in taking their chances, with tries coming from incisive runs from Felix (2), Tyler (2) and Finn complemented by excellent tries snaffled by Louis and Nino. Isaac B was cool from the kicking tee, slotting six conversions as Marple ran out 47-5 winners, in a complete performance.

Sheffield will look forward to the return match however, with the game played in good spirits and some high-quality play from both sides on show.
