Thanks to you all for taking the time and effort to make the game on Saturday such a fabulous event. I think everyone who took part in the match would say that 7 all was a fair result.
The support was fantastic a really good turnout of family and friends, players past and past it not to forget the great support from the bar and those who helped serving the food and tidying up after the game.
The Rugby community spirit is what sets it apart from other sports and this can be found at Marple in great abundance. I would much rather have Gareth here with us and joining in the game but I know that this is not possible. Gareth loved his Rugby both coaching in the junior section and playing on the 3rds. My family and I miss him so very much and nothing can change that, however this event is a celebration of Gareth's ethos of play hard party harder! And we did!!
Once again thanks to Marple Rugby Club and everyone who took part. Here's to next year and a victory to the Toddians.
Heartfelt thanks Elaine, Paul, Nathan and family
