
Game Number 5 of the season saw Marple head down the M62 to Liverpool to face off against Liverpool Medics.
The game kicks off with both teams showing great urgency with their play but medics taking the edge and pushing back Marple to their own try line. However, some resilient defense from the traveling side soon isolated the Medics attack and turned the ball over and got clear.
Marple easing into the games soon starting to get things flowing with set plays and soon apply the pressure on the home side. Marple with the line out 5 meters out do a quick catch and drive and walk Medics back to their own line to see Cameron Hughes breaking off the back of the maul and dive for the line and score the first try of the game.
Conversion missed – 0-5 Marple
More of the same from the traveling side who spent a good percentage of the half camped in the home sides half. The home side under sustained pressure for most of the half soon started to give a silly penalty. 40 Meters out Marple chose to take the points and Adrian Parry steps up and slots it home for 3 points.
0-8 Marple
Half coming to a close Medic finds their second wind and starts putting heavy pressure on the travelers and Marple soon finds themselves pend in and two men down as Liam Howe & Adrian Parry see yellows due to some unneeded pentiles. Marple Hold out till the half and keep things the same on the scoreboard going into halftime.
Half time score Medics 0 – 8 Marple.
The second half starts Marple down to 13 men for the first ten minutes start to show their great game management and keep the ball in hand and control the game to minimise the Medics pressure.
Marple back to a full-strength side soon put the pressure on the home side and with a heavy-hitting game from the Marple pack, the away side soon find themselves one meter from the line before Alex Jenner picks and goes to adds another five more points on to the scoreboard.
Parry converts – 0-15 Marple
Marple sitting comfortably on the scoreboard and in their game plan continue to control the game and push the home side back before a scrum from 5 meters out see Marple’s number 9 Paul Howard sneak in for try number three of the game to put Marple 20 points clear.
Conversion missed 0-20 Marple
The game coming to a close the young home side shows the grit and determination to keep going and soon seal their first try of the game and with some quick attacking rugby and catch Marple off guard.

Man of the match: Camron Hughes – Cammy had a great game today with great work around the field hitting anyone with the ball and leading from the front. Also opened the scoring with a try for his great work.
