Hard Fought game away to Hope Valley

Marple 3rds travelled to Hope Valley on the 7th November to contest a hard fought game on a wet and blustery day!!

This game proved to be a fantastic game and contested well by both sides.

Marple took advantage of the first half by dominating in wet conditions. Tries from Bright, Snape and many others, contributed to a good start to the first half. Choosing to play down the slope with a wind advantage.

The second half saw Hope Valley come back with a few early tries. This then saw Marple come back with a few more tries and defend a narrow lead for the last 15mins.

Excellent running and defending from Easton, keating, Hawksworth, Bright Brothers, Cameron, Jackson, Snape,too many to mention.

Playing rugby on a pitch that became heavier by the minute, demanded a huge amount of effort from both teams. A fantastic game of rugby, which saw Marple come away as winners.

Thanks to Hope Valley for a thoroughly entertaining game of rugby.
